Terms of Service — Dumpbox

These Terms of Service govern the use of dumpbox.ai (the "Service"), provided by Domenico Zitiello, trading as Dumpbox as an individual resident in Italy. By creating an account, uploading content, or otherwise using the Service (even without an account, e.g. via a contribution link/QR or an RSVP), you accept these Terms.

User: someone who creates a Dumpbox account.

Content: photos, videos, and other material uploaded to the Service, by a User or an anonymous contributor.

Gallery: a space (Dump, Event, or Collection) where Content is organized.

Anonymous contributor: someone who uploads Content via a contribution link or QR code without creating an account.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, with no exceptions: under this age you cannot create an account, not even with the consent of a parent or guardian. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we may delete it.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity through your account. Each account must correspond to a real person.

You retain full ownership of the Content you upload. By uploading it, you grant Dumpbox a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license, limited to what is necessary to provide the Service: hosting, storing, reproducing, optimizing, and displaying Content to the people you grant access to.

This license does not include using your Content for advertising or promoting Dumpbox without your separate, explicit consent.

The license ends when you remove the Content or delete your account, subject to the technical time needed to complete deletion.

Content uploaded to someone else's Gallery. If you upload Content to a Gallery that isn't yours, for example via a contribution link or QR code, you also grant the Gallery owner and its co-owners a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to keep it, approve or reject it, and display it in that Gallery to the people who have access to it under its visibility settings. The upload page tells you the Gallery's visibility at that moment; the owner may change it later. This license does not cover publication outside Dumpbox or advertising or commercial use, and it ends when the Content is removed. To request removal, write to privacy@dumpbox.ai.

By uploading Content, you represent that you have the right to upload and share it; that, if it depicts other people, you have the right to share it with respect to them including — where required by law — their consent; that it does not infringe third-party rights; and that it is not illegal or prohibited under Section 7.

You are solely responsible for the Content you upload. Dumpbox does not pre-screen Content uploaded by Users.

Whoever creates a Dump or an event, or uploads Content to it, is responsible for the photos and videos they put there and for having the right to share them, including with respect to the people who appear in them, minors included. For a minor, the consent required by law, where it is required, is that of the person with parental responsibility.

Some Galleries published by Dumpbox itself (official accounts) contain AI-generated images, used as covers and as atmosphere images. They never depict identifiable real people and are never presented as photographs of an event that actually took place. This declaration is made at document level: today no label appears next to the individual image. No Content uploaded by Users or anonymous Contributors is generated or altered by us.

You may not use the Service to upload Content that is illegal, infringes third-party rights, or is hateful/harassing/threatening; to upload Content depicting people without the right to do so; to upload malware; to send spam or unauthorized commercial content; to access others' accounts without authorization; or to circumvent the Service's security measures. In case of a violation, we may remove the Content and/or suspend or delete the account.

Whoever generates a contribution link or QR code is responsible for sharing it only with people they trust, and is responsible, as the Gallery owner, for Content uploaded through it, including the right to remove it.

1. What it is. An organiser may switch on, for a single event, the "Find me in the photos" feature, which computes for the faces in photos uploaded after activation a numerical representation (biometric data) used exclusively to let participants find their own photos in that event.

2. Roles. For this processing the organiser is the controller and Dumpbox the processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Dumpbox processes the biometric data only on the organiser's instructions (activation, deactivation, deletion), does not use it for other purposes, does not disclose it to third parties, stores it in the European Union, applies the security measures described in the privacy notice, assists the organiser with data-subject requests and deletes it on deactivation, on deletion of the photo or the event and in any case within 90 days of the end of the event. Dumpbox uses no processors other than those listed in the privacy notice.

3. The organiser's obligations. By switching the feature on, the organiser warrants that they will inform participants before they upload photos, using the notice provided by Dumpbox, obtain consent where the law requires it (in particular for minors), exclude on request people who do not want to be analysed, and switch the feature off if unable to meet these obligations.

4. The person searching declares that the face in the selfie is their own. Searching for other people's photos with their face is prohibited and leads to account suspension.

5. Dumpbox may suspend the feature on an event following a substantiated report.

The FREE plan is available now, free of charge. The CREATOR plan is announced at €14.99 per month, VAT included; the BUSINESS plan is quoted on request. Neither is active yet: subscription is not currently possible and no amount is charged. The prices shown are those planned at activation and may change until then.

We may suspend or delete your account in case of a breach of these Terms. You can delete your account at any time from settings.

Inactive accounts. If you don't sign in to Dumpbox with your account for one year, the photos and videos in the Dumps you own are deleted, including photos uploaded by guests to those Dumps. Only your own access counts: signing in to the Service or keeping it open with your account. Other people viewing your Dumps does not count. We email the address on your account 30, 7 and 1 day before the deadline, explaining how to download your Content. On the deadline your Dumps are hidden for 30 days and become visible again as soon as you sign in. If 30 days pass without a sign-in, the Content is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Your account stays active, with no Content and on the FREE plan. A Dump with more than one owner is not deleted as long as at least one of them signs in. For accounts that exist on 1 November 2026, the year is counted from that date.

If you believe Content violates these Terms, your rights, or the rights of a depicted person, write to privacy@dumpbox.ai with a link to the Content and the reason.

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dumpbox is not liable for Content uploaded by Users or anonymous Contributors, nor for indirect damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

These Terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands; competent jurisdiction: the Netherlands. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, nothing in these Terms limits the rights you're entitled to by law in your country of residence, including the right to bring proceedings in the court of your residence.

We may update these Terms; in case of substantial changes we will notify you before they take effect.
