What a Collection is
A Collection sits one floor above your Dumps. It never touches the photos: it lines up the Dumps you already have and presents them together, in the order you choose. It earns its keep when one story ended up in several pieces — three days of a trip, four nights of the same summer, every birthday of the same group of friends.
It's a set of Dumps: you line them up and tell them as a single story.
When you already have several Dumps about the same thing.
It doesn't hold photos: it holds Dumps. The photos stay in theirs, and a Collection never moves them.
How to use it
- 1Pick the Dumps
The ones you already have, including those where you're a collaborator. The order you tap them in is the order they'll be shown in.
- 2Give it a name
The cover comes from the first Dump that has one. The name is what other people will read, so it's worth a second's thought.
- 3Share it like a Dump
Same link, same three visibility settings. Whoever opens it flips through the Dumps one after another, instead of chasing four separate links.
Questions
If I delete a Collection, do I lose the Dumps inside?
No, and that isn't a polite reassurance: a Collection holds no photos, only references to the Dumps. Deleting it removes the shop window; the Dumps stay exactly where they were.
Can I put someone else's Dump in it?
Only if you're in it as an owner or a collaborator. A Collection is your own shop window, not a way to gather other people's work.
If I add photos to a Dump, does the Collection update?
Yes, on its own. A Collection looks at the real Dumps, so it always shows what's there now — not a copy taken the day you created it.
